One of the first thing that draws me as a reader to a book is the cover. As an author, I’m always curious about the design involved in a cover:  the colors, the fonts, the imagery, etc. The covers I share here are not a promotion for the book itself, simply an admiration of the cover or aspects of it.

THE LAST GAMBLE, by Anabelle Bryant, synopsis & release date coming soon

My impression:  This cover, along with the two others in this series, reaches out and grabs me. I love all of the elements of this one:  The stone arches and pillars, the different greenery (the palm fronds, the flowers, the climbing vines, the trees), the font used in the title and those scrolling embellishments on the Ls. I love how outside of the arches, it appears to be night with the soft glow of moonlight, but in the center arch, it appears to be daylight. And the woman in the center of the cover in her gorgeous dress is highlighted perfectly. There are a lot of elements to this cover, but they are all very harmonious. This is a bit more dynamic than the other covers in the series (which I’m going to include in this post, because they are too stunning to resist sharing), and I love how each one highlights the women and their vibrant primary colored dresses.
